From site plan no 2 Mount Hepburn Treatment plant. 11.12.2000 by R Kaufman and D Bannear for Parks

the slag fill is pretty solid

THE ROUND HARDWOOD STUB HOLDS THIS SIDE OFF THE GROUND

PARKS SHOULD HAVE RECORD OF THESE WORKS.

YOU CAN SEE WHY THE WALLS WERE ASSUMED TO END HERE

THE PIC BELOW IS LOOKING BACK ALONG THE LINE OF THE WALLS. THE PLANT WAS SAID TO BE 360 FOOT LONG. WITH THE WALLS CONTINUING UNDER THE FURNACE
THAT MIGHT BE CLOSER TO 400 FEET. (122 METRES)

STRUCTURE IN MIDDLE MAY BE WHAT IS LAYING NEAR THE "OPEN BRICK HEARTH FORGE" TODAY

SHOULD READ "TIMBERS"

WAS QUITE AN EVENT WHEN FIRED AND SOME OF THE LOCAL RESIDENTS WOULD COME AND WATCH

NOTE THE BIPOD WITH WIRES THAT LIFTED THE CHIMNEY INTO PLACE.

THESE OLDER PICS ARE FROM THE AVERY COLLECTION HELD BY THE OMEO HISTORICAL SOCIETY
