Omeo Justice Precinct is the historic Omeo Police Camp and Courts
Complex combined. This intact Justice Precinct comprises 5
heritage listed buildings and is unique and important to Australia's
history. Two courthouses and log gaol are included!
Omeo was a rough and tough multicultural mining boom town
that, together with the agricultural sector, formed the large Omeo
Shire (1872-1994)
Now a part of the huge East Gippsland Shire the precinct is managed
by the Omeo Historical Society with its local history collection housed
throughout the buildings. Look at "historic park" link
The "other places" link  provide some information on parts of the old shire.
